Trips to Local Sights and Travels to National Treasures
Specialized tours at the DIA, Quintessential Trips to Greenfield Village and the Detroit Historical Society make up just a few of the Field Trips. Did you miss your classes trip to Washington DC? Well here's your chance to make it up with some of your best friends! It will be focused on the Smithsonians, History and a private Bible tour-not Government. These trips will be deeply discounted by our fundraisers and corporate sponsors.

We truly have something for everyone's interests! Private STEM classes through the MiSci Center, Yearbook Club, and opportunies for you to establish your own interest group within the community.
What does the Enrichment Program Fee cover?
The low-cost membership fee covers the administration cost of managing our community. The website, software, email service, tax prep fees and all the miscellaneous stuff that adds up over the year--what's left goes towards the events. We have no paid employees; not one--zip, zero, zilch! We are super proud of what our amazing, 100%-volunteer community does for these kids.
Why do I have to pay for the events?
The event fees are greatly reduced by member dues, fundraisers, sponsorships and donations. However, it doesn't cover EVERYTHING. Our logic is, it's better to pay a little for the events than charge more for Membership. As a relatively small community with very little overhead, your fundraising efforts make a HUGE impact on the costs you pay for events.
What's was the benefit of becoming a 501(c)3?
The influx of families choosing alternative education has grown by leaps and bounds. To meet the needs of our expanding community (i.e., more free stuff and bigger group discounts) and to improve access to opportunities (read:save us all a lot of money), we decided with a little bit of paperwork (LOTS!) we could become a qualified charity! This opens us up to fundraisers, sponsorships, grants and donations!
Am I required to Volunteer or Host an Event?

Currently, we do not REQUIRE that anyone volunteers -- we haven't needed to! Please, volunteer to keep the load light and the work fun. Plus, this is just has much a community for parents, grandparents and guardians as much as it is for the kids. Your tribe is here!
